Located at the far east of Alma Island, it is here that the Petite and Grande Décharge rivers meet to form the Saguenay River. This site takes its name from the fact that Americans came here to fish for landlocked salmon in the 19th century. Pointe-des-Américains offers a magnificent trail with several loops (totaling 14km round trip) in a mixed forest dominated by deciduous trees, allowing you to practice hiking, mountain biking and snowshoeing in winter.

* The sanitary unit of the ski center is accessible in the winter season.
