Poste de traite de Desbiens

The Poste de traite is an interpretational center located in the same place as the first French fur trading post, which was established in 1676. Its goal is to make you discover the history of the region and of whom shaped it from the very first contacts in an original, interactive and immersive manner. It reaches its goal through seasonal and permanent exhibits, though its historical path featuring the oldest standing building in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, though instructional workshops, though activities and events.

Last but not least, the site also offers an archeological excavations simulation activity, easy access to the Lake Saint-Jean and to the Véloroute des Bleuets, a panoramic view on the Lake-Saint-Jean and more.
