Marylie Bernier

A new arrival in the organization, Ms. Bernier holds a Bachelor of History from Université du Québec à Chicoutimi and a tourism certificate from TÉLUQ. Born and raised in Alma, with 13 years of experience in the field of customer service and nearly 8 years in the tourism industry, Ms. Bernier is the ideal person to convince you that the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region is THE most beautiful region in Quebec. Leaving the region to hone her customer service skills, she was a coordinator in a tourist attraction in one of Quebec City’s historical districts and worked as a tour guide at Musée Royal 22e Régiment in the Citadelle of Québec. Back to her roots, Ms. Bernier established herself in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean to start a family and help promote the region. A history, culture, and outdoors enthusiast, she enjoys spending quality time with her spouse, family, and friends. She always seizes the opportunity to showcase the region’s beauties and treasures to her friends and family, and, mostly, to visitors. After paying a visit to Alma’s tourist centre and discussing with Marylie, visitors quickly realize that they would need more than an entire summer in Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean to experience all that the region has to offer!

Twice godmother, Ms. Bernier loves visiting museums, reading books, and watching historical television series. She also adores cats. A people person, she proudly sustains quality relationships with her friends of 15 years.
